Can you believe that this cute set came from a pair of woman's socks. Grandma Susan and I went to the Mother's Group at Full Bloom today. While there we sat next to another mommy who had made the cutest legwarmers for her son. We asked her how she did it and she said she downsized a pair of woman's knee high socks.

Guess what? It worked. In addition, grandma came up with the great idea to make her a matching hat using the bottom half of the socks. It is hard to tell from the picture but her shirt is a Christmas one saying Silent Night, Yeah Right.
With grandma here. I am hoping to learn to make a few more things. We went out and bought some materials to make a flannel blanket. I guess there is a reason that the old sewing machine never left...I was meant to use it.While our goal was to make leg warmers we decided to add feet to them as it is so cold right now. (Grandma used the heel of the sock for the feet part.)

The Cradle

Grandpa Rich has been very busy creating a beautiful cradle for Abigail. We had seen it while he was still working on it and the finished piece is just gorgeous. Miss Abby is going to have a wonderful heirloom piece to pass on down to her children.


Little Miss has given the cradle her seal of approval...she will sleep in her cradle for a few hours at a time. However, her favorite place to sleep is either on her boppy pillow or on Mommy.

So Little Time...So Many Pictures

I am already behind on pictures of baby Abigail. I am finding it very hard to find time for the computer.

The other day Grandma Mary volunteered to spend the night with Abby.....and these are the before pictures of the Pajama Party. LOL She wasn't feeling quite as chipper the next morning. But the sleep was very much appreciated by mommy & daddy.



The last 2 nights I have been trying to take care of her myself but Sheldon has still been helping during those late night feedings....I am at the point where I cannot wake up and she is starting to go from a 3-4 hour eating schedule to a 2 hour eating schedule. WOW...huge difference. I know she needs it to gain a bit of weight but the 3-4 hours was so much easier.

Pretty Little Girl

Hi,

Today, Abby went to her first doctor's visit and received 2 thumbs up. She hasn't lost anymore weight...however, neither has she gained any. She is still 5 lbs 6 oz. However, the doctor says she has 2 weeks to gain back her weight, so we are working hard on it.

Eating has been a bit hard for her. Her sucking reflex isn't fully developed yet and that makes breastfeeding hard. However, I am able to pump her meals for her and it keeps her pretty happy.




I figured I would post a few new pictures of her. These are of her in her new hat that Grandma Mary & Uncle Rich bought for her and a couple of the cats finally relaxing.

Newest Arrival

Hi,

On my regular blog I posted a setting about Abby's arrival. However, I wanted to post a few new pictures here. This blog will be private and just viewed by family and friends.

I am so sorry that we are so behind in getting out pictures. I didn't realize how exhausting it was going to be a new mom. Before having Abby, I was on the computer tons of time during the day. Now I think in 5 days it has been 1.5 hours total. However, I am definitely not complaining.

So we will start with pictures of Mommy & Daddy going to the hospital. Then we have a picture of the doctor dressed up for Halloween. And then the rest should kind of reveal itself. (OOPS....I guess the pictures are backwards.)
